Madrone Hotel is a four-story, mixed-use building conveniently located in Downtown Oakland within walking distance of public transportation, shopping, restaurants, services, and businesses in Old Oakland, Chinatown, and Jack London Square. Madrone Hotel was abandoned for nine years before EBALDC rehabilitated it in 1988 into 32 single room occupancy apartments above streetfront retail on the ground floor.
