Property Description

Hugh Taylor House was a vacant and vandalized convalescent hospital until EBALDC renovated the building and invited the first tenants to move in May 1994. The project was named in honor of Hugh Taylor, the local representative to the Economic Development Administration in the 1970s who was instrumental in helping EBALDC gain funding for the acquisition and renovation of its first project, the Asian Resource Center.

Hugh Taylor House – situated in front of Seminary Creek – offers 43 affordable housing units, as well as a large community room, common patio area, laundry rooms, community kitchen, and parking lot. The common areas are handicap accessible, and all units are handicap adaptable.
