In response to the Supreme Court rulings this week, Andy Madeira, CEO of the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, released this statement: “U.S. Supreme Court’s decision today in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Center overturned our constitutional right to abortion medical services. In doing so, SCOTUS made the radical decision to overturn fifty years of repeatedly affirmed precedent recognizing personal privacy rights. EBALDC is announcing the opening of our 2021 Annual Marketing List

EBALDC is announcing the opening of our 2021 Annual Marketing List (AML) from Thursday 4/1/21 @ 12 PM – Thursday 4/15/21 @ 12 PM, PST The 2021 AML is an online pre-application that allows households to apply to one or more EBALDC property, using one pre-application. EBALDC will lease its vacant Below Market Rate Affordable Housing (BMR) units from 16 properties with the pre-applications from the 2021 AML. Dear Friends, This election felt deeply personal to me. And with 160 million people voting, the highest percentage turnout in the last 100 years, it felt personal to many of us. We voted like our lives depended on it. For EBALDC, the vision of building healthy, vibrant, and resilient neighborhoods here in Oakland the East Bay was definitely at stake.
