Swan’s Market to mark 100th year in Oakland

OAKLAND — Swan’s Market, a once-defunct shopping center turned vibrant community hub, is commemorating a century in the heart of old downtown with a multi-day celebration.

The East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, which owns and manages the large mixed- use complex at 510 Ninth St. in Old Oakland, is marking Swan’s centennial with a birthday party July 21.
