The construction of the beautiful lake MRT station senior apartment at the new gateway of Oakland Chinatown started

In the 1960s, 75 houses were demolished in Oakland Chinatown due to construction needs. Now, 64 years later, 97 units of affordable housing will be built in the parking lot of Lake Merritt in Chinatown, 44 of which will be dedicated to seniors at risk of homelessness.
