EBALDC, in partnership with the Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) and Related Companies of California, has undertaken the complete redevelopment of the notorious 1964 OHA public housing development formerly known as Coliseum Gardens, within a 22-acre site adjacent to the Coliseum BART station in East Oakland.

Reflecting a fresh community spirit, neighborhood representatives and former residents of the demolished Coliseum Gardens selected a name for the new development, Lion Creek Crossings, highlighting the restoration of Lion Creek and two new bridges that will cross it. When completed, the development will have a hub of community uses at its core, including health care, computer training, recreation, and other services tailored to community needs.

Beyond providing housing, EBALDC aims to empower the East Oakland community to work together toward the revitalization of the entire neighborhood. We believe community engagement in the neighborhood planning process determines the success of our developments and is the key to building strong, healthy neighborhoods. Through partnerships with community service providers, Lion Creek Crossings brings valuable services to residents and community members in the surrounding neighborhood
