Sen Lake (E12)

Located in the Eastlake neighborhood of Oakland, Sen Lake is a 91-unit affordable housing community developed by East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), Jordan Real Estate Investments, and The Unity Council. The community offers long-term, affordable rental homes for individuals and families with low incomes. One apartment is reserved for on-site staff.

About a quarter of the apartments are set aside for people who are currently experiencing homelessness or who were formerly homeless. These homes include access to free, voluntary supportive services, such as case management, to help residents maintain stable housing. Referrals for the 23 supportive housing apartments are made through the Alameda County Coordinated Entry System (CES), which connects individuals experiencing homelessness to available housing resources.

The remaining apartments are available to income-qualified applicants through a public lottery process. When the application opens, applicants are selected through a lottery system. A preference is provided for people who live or work in Oakland, in accordance with program guidelines.

Sen Lake is conveniently located near Lake Merritt, neighborhood shops, schools, community services, and public transportation, offering residents both affordability and easy access to everyday amenities.

HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES: 0-,1-, 2- and 3-Bedroom Units Available. The application portal is being opened to fill all unit types at the property. Applicants will be considered appropriately based on household eligibility and unit availability. Applicants will be prioritized if they are City of Oakland residents and workers. Leasing will be undertaken in accordance with the Oakland Housing Authority’s RAS program preferences and City of Oakland program guidelines.

Applicants unable to access the online portal may download a paper pre-application. Paper pre-applications will be available to print online or can be picked up in person at 1825 San Pablo Avenue, Suite 200, Oakland, CA 94612 during normal business hours. Paper applications will be available and received during regular business hours for the duration of the waiting list opening.
