On Friday, Assemblymember Mia Bonta (D18) celebrated the achievements of over 20 individuals and organizations in Alameda, Emeryville, and Oakland at her 2nd Annual Community Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 27th.
In front of a packed room that included Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, Emeryville Mayor John Bauters, Oakland Council President Nikki Fortunato Bas, Oakland Councilmembers Kevin Jenkins and Dan Kalb, Assemblymember Bonta recognized EBALDC as the Organization of the Year for its 48+ years of service to the East Bay, providing over 2,200 affordable homes to low-income residents and providing wrap-around services to nearly 6,000 East Bay residents.
