EBALDC Announces New CEO Andy Madeira
Dear Friends,
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andre “Andy” H. Madeira as our new Chief Executive Officer. Andy’s selection concludes a months-long and nationwide search for a leader to take the helm of EBALDC and guide the next phase of the organization’s work in shaping healthy neighborhoods through our innovative approach to community development. He will assume the position of CEO on March 1, 2021.
Andy brings to EBALDC a range of personal and professional experiences that, along with our existing leadership team, and the dedication and creativity of our staff, residents, and other community partners, will lead EBALDC in our next phase as we expand our Healthy Neighborhoods impact.
With 30 years of experience in affordable housing and community development, Andy most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development at Eden Housing, Inc. Under his leadership, Eden Housing greatly expanded their new construction pre-development pipeline, recapitalized and renovated their existing portfolio, grew the organization’s financial reserves and extended their impact by opening development offices in Monterey and San Diego, California.
Prior to his time with Eden Housing, Madeira was a Senior Banker with JP Morgan Chase in the Community Development Banking division where he was responsible for originating construction and permanent loans for affordable housing and community development across Northern California.
He also served as the Director of Real Estate for BRIDGE Housing Corporation in San Francisco.

Please join me in welcoming Andy Madeira to EBALDC!
