Agnes Ubalde is the Senior Vice President at PNC Bank for Community Development Banking in California.  She leverages the bank’s loans, grant investments, financial inclusion tools, and technical expertise to support local and regional-based nonprofits, for-profits, and community partners targeting low-to-moderate-income and distressed communities.

Ubalde is a highly accomplished and seasoned cross-sector leader with over 30 years of experience spanning corporate, community philanthropy, government, and social innovation to advance economic inclusion, racial equity, and social justice through data-driven systems change and public policy.  Before PNC, she held positions with BBVA, Wells Fargo, City and County of San Francisco’s Mayor’s Office, Alameda County General Services Agency, and Deloitte Consulting.

“I am thrilled that Agnes Ubalde has joined EBALDC’s Board of Directors,” said Sean Sullivan, EBALDC’s Board Chairman.  “An El Cerrito resident, she’s coming on the board as we implement our strategic refresh, building on our healthy communities work and expanding beyond Oakland,” he continued.  “A consummate leader, she brings an incredible breadth of knowledge and contacts that will be essential to EBALDC.”

“I am excited to work with the board and staff to help raise and leverage sustainable funding aligned with EBALDC’s strategic commitment to communities we serve,” said Ubalde.

Before joining the board, Ubalde volunteered as an expert on the Resource Development and Communications Committee for two years.  She now chairs the committee that oversees EBALDC’s fundraising and communications strategies.

EBALDC’s CEO, Andy Madeira, commented, “Agnes brings an amazing range of experience and strategic thinking – local policy, philanthropy, and banking and finance – a perfect fit as EBALDC rises to help our communities meet the challenges of lack of affordable housing and the devastating impacts of this ongoing pandemic.”
