CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Paul Carney brings over 20 years of experience in affordable housing finance along with a background in financial and organizational management in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. As CFO, Paul oversees asset management, finance, accounting, and IT.

Prior to joining EBALDC, Paul served as the CFO/COO of Merritt Community Capital Corporation, a nonprofit affordable housing investor. He has also served as the CFO for the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation in San Francisco, and has worked for Devine & Gong, Union Bank, JP Morgan Chase, CBRE Capital Markets, and HUD.

Paul holds an MA in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and his bachelor’s degree is from Stanford. Paul currently serves on the board of Building Futures.
