In addition to our traditional Low-Income Housing portfolio, EBALDC is working to address the housing crisis by acquiring existing multifamily properties in Oakland and stabilizing the rents for current residents.
This program, called the “Housing Acquisition Fund”, was initiated in 2015 and is designed to preserve Moderate-Income Housing and stabilize existing rents, preventing large rent increases and allowing residents the option to stay in their homes.
