Sen Lake Apartments held its grand opening on Friday!
We celebrated the 500+ partners and community members who helped us turn one of the last infill sites near Lake Merritt into 91 new permanent affordable homes and ground-floor retail.
“Sen” means lotus in Vietnamese, a symbol of resilience. The building was named in honor of Oakland’ s Little Saigon community and the East Lake neighborhood that surrounds it.

We’re thankful to have worked with two Oakland-based developers, The Unity Council and Jordan Real Estate Investments to make this project a reality!
