Chief Strategy Officer

Sharon Lai brings extensive experience as a facilitator and strategist in organizational development, civic engagement, policy, real estate and economic development, and fostering public/private partnerships.

She will be responsible for driving high-level strategy, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, leveraging our commercial real estate, and fostering key, mission-aligned external partnerships.

Prior to joining EBALDC Sharon was a San Francisco District 3 Board of Supervisors Candidate, Lead on World Economic Forum, Executive Director of Dignity Moves, and a city planner in the East Bay and San Francisco.

Sharon studied Development Economics and City Planning at UC Berkeley and earned her MPA from Harvard Kennedy School where she was a HKS Government Performance Lab fellow.
