EBALDC serves approximately 6,000 people annually through the provision of: 

 

  • Affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, and individuals in Alameda and Contra Costa counties 

  • An array of programs and services supporting our residents and neighbors, including after school educational programming, financial education and coaching, connection to public services and benefits, leadership development opportunities, and other community enrichment activities designed to promote mental, physical, and financial health, and 

  • Commercial spaces for local entrepreneurs and community-serving nonprofits. 

EBALDC owns and operates over 35 buildings serving more than 2300 households, including 300,000+ square feet of commercial space with 100+ small businesses and nonprofits.  

EBALDC manages a pipeline of 20 affordable housing, commercial, and mixed-use, mixed-income projects in predevelopment and construction.  

EBALDC collaborates with community and neighborhood partners to identify and share community assets, elevate neighborhood concerns, and develop action plans for local advocacy.
