Food Distribution and Food Pantry at EBALDC!
We are excited to share our work launching a food pantry at Lion Creek Crossing and expanding our food distribution work for our residents!
Up to 75% of our residents faced SNAP interruptions, meaning food distribution events and food pantries were playing an even more critical role in the lives of residents.
Staff and resident leaders also tabled to share Know Your Rights information and an upcoming opportunity for free tax services.
As we stay updated on a any government shutdown, we’re dedicated to supporting our residents and community across the East Bay.
We are grateful for community partners like ShopRite and Hometown Groceries where we shopped to fill our pantry. ShopRite also donated shopping bags for our residents! With an organizational focus on economic vibrancy and support, we are glad that we can support small businesses through our organizational projects.
This was made possible through the support of Alameda County, Crankstart and San Francisco Foundation!
