An Important Announcement from the EBALDC Board of Directors

We write to inform you that Andy Madeira is transitioning out of his role as EBALDC’s CEO. The Board has appointed EBALDC’s previous Board Chair, Sean Sullivan, as the Acting CEO effective immediately.

Andy joined EBALDC during a very tumultuous time. We are grateful for his leadership over the past two years, and for guiding the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic. We wish Andy the best in his future endeavors.

The Board remains 100% committed to the staff of EBALDC, our community partners, and our supporters, and we are confident in the capabilities of Sean and EBALDC’s experienced Executive Leadership Team to ensure the continuity of EBALDC’s important work during this time of transition. We thank you for your continued partnership in advancing EBALDC’s mission to create healthy neighborhoods in our East Bay communities.

We also encourage you to join us this Thursday to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Year of the Rabbit)!  Sean and members of the Board will be in attendance, and we are excited to share our vision for EBALDC’s future while you mix and mingle, nibbling on some great food from Plenty Oakland, an EBALDC commercial tenant.  And of course, we will have lion dancers!
